The New 360,000 sq. ft. Gateway Community College consolidated many of the school’s previously scattered programs within the Long Wharf and New Haven Campuses into one central location in downtown New Haven. The new four-story building includes: classrooms, computer labs, library, cafeteria, bookstore, culinary arts center, art gallery and administrative offices. Throughout the lab spaces NEIS installed benchtop downdraft ventilation systems. The structure will be the first public building in Connecticut to receive LEED Gold certification, the second highest certification given by the United States Building Council.
