This 90,600 sq. ft. complete renovation transformed the 1953 preexisting Whitmore Laboratory at Penn State University into a state-of-the-art facility. The Whitmore Laboratory features a modern flexible space that promotes safety and functionality for its undergraduate Chemistry students and faculty members. Northeast Interior Systems was challenged with remodeling a pre-existing structure that was built during 1953. Creating a modern cutting edge laboratory within a preexisting historical structure required Northeast Interior Systems to think outside the box with its design strategy and implementation.
